Doll Anatomy's primary goal is to ensure that we delivery great customer service and lots of fun! We are a small independent entity that is constantly evolving and striving to improve your experience with us. This website was created with the art doll collector in mind. We wanted to artistically re-create & showcase dolls that would appeal to such collectors & their interests; therefore, the dolls on this site have realistic faces & expressions, resemble everyday people through hair styling, accessories, and handmade attire. They are near anatomically correct in a tasteful, proportionate, artistic manner. The dolls on this website are sometimes called "repaints", but they are so much more than just a repaint! The dolls listed on this website are fully customized dolls, which includes a repainted face, unique hair styling or wigs, handmade quality clothes using the artist's patterns, jewelry, and more! Our dolls are perfect for online stories, pageants, show dolls, play (by an adult), doll dramas, or to add beauty and excitement to your display cabinet! All creations are done by one artist who uses the entire doll as her canvas! All of the artwork is carefully done by hand, and it is not perfect, on purpose. "Perfection" is not one of our services, but we do provide quality customized dolls, repaints, handmade clothing, and dolls that are a joy to own! All artwork is based on the artist's free creative vision- she does not take commissions, but we do list unique art dolls regularly. Some of the dolls we customize and augment are not manufactured by us. We refer to them as re-creations because their original creators are Mattel, Robert Tonner, Fashion Royalty etc. We have no affiliation with these companies. We have simply taken these cherished dolls' possibilities to a whole new level. This is all done for the sake of artistic expression and fun! The artist is working on her own original doll prototypes, and we look forward to unveiling them in the near future.

Doll Anatomy respects our customers' right to privacy; therefore we never sell or share your personal information with anyone! Any information collected is used solely to initiate and complete your transactions for services provided by Doll Anatomy. Definition of personal information: information that specifically identifies an individual (such as name, telephone number, mobile number, email address, home address, or credit card number/ information)
Please note that if you choose to use any known public message boards or post pictures for the public to view on the Doll Anatomy website- it will be your responsibility to monitor what you write about or post in regard to your own personal information that you choose to share. We do encourage you to practice internet safety etiquette when posting on public message boards.
Services:
We sell OOAK (One of a Kind) Repainted dressed dolls, and are in the process of adding doll crafting tutorials, and more to add to your level of FUN! We do not do commission work, but we do regularly list a variety of realistic & unique customized dolls for all to enjoy!
Payment Methods Accepted:
Doll Anatomy values internet safety, and we currently accept PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, but wish to use your credit card or debit, you may check out as a "Guest" after placing an item in your cart. US money orders, Western Union, or MoneyGram payments are accepted at our discretion, and must be authorized by customer service before any services or transactions are initiated. Since we use PayPal as a payment facilitator- your personal banking and credit card information is NOT viewed or submitted to us. We never see it. Paypal simply sends us a confirmation of payment, and we ship your item. For Reservations & Layaway you will receive an invoice with your doll's name with terms & fees spelled out. The invoice will have the name Doll Anatomy on it and it will be generated through PayPal. Please always read your invoice carefully to ensure that your fees and services rendered are listed correctly before making a payment!
Communication:
Here at DollAnatomy.com our main priority is to take the time needed to create quality art work/ customized dolls, prepare & ship orders in a timely manner, and provide our customers with current orders with shipping updates.The best way to communicate with us is via email, or by using our Inquiries & Contact Form. Since doll customizing and repainting is both time and concentration intensive, and the artist is working very hard on customer's dolls & orders daily- all phone calls will be directed to voice-mail. Phone calls & emails will be responded to within approximately 48 hours. Our contact information is conveniently listed on one page that can be accessed by clicking on the "Contact Us" header tab above on all pages. Most of our customers prefer to email us or to use our Contact Form so they can spell out all of the details of their requests or ask detailed questions about our services. You are welcome to contact us by using any of the methods available. Starting in 2014, in an effort to ensure that all customers who are scheduled for a phone consultation have an opportunity receive their consultation at their scheduled time, all phone consultations will be limited to 15 minutes per scheduled phone call. If you need more time outside of the 15 minute window- you are welcome to email us.
Conduct:
Our operation is simple, but always professional. You will only deal with people who strive to cultivate a respectful, and friendly environment for all our existing & potential customers. We have kept many customers happy for over 10 years! Our customers are the best part of our day! We respond to inquiries about dolls, but once a doll is listed, we cannot control how fast a doll will sell. Some go very quickly! In order to maintain a positive experience, we reserve the right not to sell to, to cancel orders from, or to cease response to anyone who sends communications that contain negative language, or threats to defame our business because they did not get a doll before another buyer, or for any reason within our policy guidelines including non-payment of merchandise in a timely manner.
Returns:
Here at Doll Anatomy we want all of our customers to be very satisfied with our services and items! We will accept returns only if we have grossly misrepresented a service or item. Due to external handling outside of DollAnatomy- a restocking fee in the amount of 50% the total price of the art doll will be charged for returns. In the unlikely instance an item needs to be returned to us- that item must be in the exact condition in which it was shipped. Items that smell of smoke, perfume, or are other wise tainted or rearranged are not eligible for a refund due to the loss of value imposed. Our return policies are as follows: We ask that you study all photos and literature that show or describe the item or doll that you are opting to receive in order to ensure that you will more likely be satisfied with the outcome. For your protection, since we are not responsible for losses, or damages that occur during shipping, all dolls must be insured!!! This way, you can be compensated for any unlikely losses.
Our body augmentations are permanent; and therefore not returnable. We are not responsible for damages done as a result of improper handling of the item by the receiver. If the customer is responsible for the damages to the work that was done by us- that customer will also be responsible for any repair fees & shipping fees that are required in order to ship an item back to us for repair. We will only accept items that are repairable.* Please contact customer service more information regarding returns.*
Layaway:
We usually allow reservations & (14 days) layaway privileges for our customers who have had at least 1 successful transaction with us on DollAnatomy.com or eBay. However, if you see a doll you just have to have, and you are a sincere buyer who will complete payments for the doll on time- we may consider layaway for certain listings. We cannot guarantee that we can extend layaway to first time customers due to past experiences with layaway reservations gone south. It helps us with a decision if you have positive feedback on other sites that prove your are an upstanding buyer. The customer must make a down payment of 1/2 the total for all items placed on layaway, or to reserve a doll- and the item must be paid in full within 14 days. This down payment is non-refundable- so shop carefully & wisely. All cancelled dolls, or ones who are not paid in full by the agreed date will be re-listed for sale. Shipping:
Dear Customers, please note that your package will arrive in a plain brown box. In order to ensure your privacy and in an effort not to advertise the content of the package,the sender heading will read from D.A. instead of Doll Anatomy. We want your package to be as unassuming as possible.
All of our items are shipped Priority Mail via USPS/ the United States Postal Service. We ship all in-stock, completed dolls from our store within 24-48 hours of payment received! "Preview Sales" are shipped once the work in progress has been completed, which is near the estimated date included in the listing. A "Preview Sale" doll may be completed and shipped 1-3 days later, or earlier than estimated due to the doll's curing requirements/ progress. Updates will be provided accordingly. Please make sure that you are willing and able to wait during this window of time before purchasing a "Preview Sale" doll.
Items will only ship within the USA. All buyer's must have an address that is marked "Verified, or Confirmed" by PayPal. We will have no choice but to cancel any orders that are made using an unverified/ unconfirmed address. Please note that PayPal is the one who approves addresses.
Please note that since we have all items scanned at the post office- we do not ship on Sundays or holidays. All dolls you send to us should be insured! Starting in 2014, all dolls that we ship to you must be insured. The customer is responsible for all shipping and insurance fees. All items/ dolls MUST have a confirmation/ tracking number before they are shipped to us or returned to the customer. The customer is responsible for all confirmation/ tracking fees. We are NOT responsible for any uninsured shipments or items. Please consider insuring your items! It is the customer's responsibility to make sure the address information they provide to us and/ or the address they have stored in PayPal's data base is indeed correct & current! Sorry, but we are not responsible for packages sent to a wrong address that you have provided to us. Please help us to ensure fast and secure deliveries of your packages by complying with our shipping suggestions.
*As mentioned, we pride ourselves in shipping within 24- 48 hours under normal circumstances. However, we cannot control delays due to holidays, weather hazards, emergencies, post office processing delays, or disasters that may cause an interruption in shipping times. We ask for your patience & understanding should any of these things occur.*
